Big League Stew's Home Run Derby and All-Star game predictions

Predicting the MLB All-Star game is tricky. The lineups get adjusted so often that players don't always get the opportunity to make a huge impact. Sometimes one big, timely hit is enough to win the All-Star MVP. Likewise, the Home Run Derby depends a lot on momentum.

We've seen plenty of sluggers over the years go cold at exactly the wrong moment. Both the derby and the game are upon us — the Home Run Derby happening at 8 p.m. ET Monday (televised on ESPN) and the All-Star game starting at 7:30 p.m. ET Tuesday (on FOX).

The Stew gathered a crew of Yahoo Sports baseball writers and we tried our best to forecast the next couple days of baseball fun. We offered our picks for essentials such as All-Star MVP and derby champ, but also a few fun categories. Have a look.

In case you don't recognize all the faces:
• Derby winner (from left):
Giancarlo Stanton, Yasiel Puig, Todd Frazier, Stanton, Yoenis Cespedes
All-Star MVP: Mike Trout, Derek Jeter, Josh Donaldson, Jeter, Paul Goldschmidt
• All-Star breakout:
Jose Altuve, Donaldson, Jonathan Lucroy, Anthony Rizzo, Altuve

Give us your predictions in the comments.
