Bills make two changes to practice squad

The Buffalo Bills made minor moves to their practice squad to start their Divisional round week ahead of facing the Cincinnati Bengals.

The Bills signed two players to their practice squad: Defensive tackle Cortez Broughton and receiver Dezmon Patmon.

In corresponding moves, receiver Tanner Gentry and linebacker Joe Giles-Harris were released from the taxi unit to make room.

The switching out of receivers is intriguing considering Gentry was a college teammate of Bills quarterback Josh Allen.

The 6-foot-4 Patmon a sixth-round pick of the Indianapolis Colts in 2020. In minimal game tine, he has six career receptions for 69 yards and one touchdown.

Broughton was signed to the Bills practice squad on Dec. 6 but was later released this past weekend. He returns to the team once again.

It’s just a minor move, but Broughton signing could be shedding light on Jordan Phillips’ shoulder injury. He did not play in the Wild-Card round vs. the Miami Dolphins, but Broughton’s addition is still very minimal and it’s early in the week.
