Bi-annual alignment sends Brook Hill back to Division II

Dec. 21—BULLARD — A robust average daily enrollment increase has resulted in Brook Hill moving up from Texas Association of Private and Parochial Schools Division III to Division II.

The realignment for the 2024-26 school terms was released earlier this fall.

The average enrollment figures were based on the numbers submitted on six snap shot days that fell between September 2022 and September 2023.

Division II contains 34 schools from around the state who had an average enrollment of 211-394 students during the aforementioned period.

Brook Hill averaged 287 students.

The largest school in Division II is Fort Worth All Saints Episcopal, with 387 students and the smallest is League City Bay Area Christian (216).

For football, Brook Hill will be in District 2, along with Arlington Grace Prep, Austin Brentwood Christian, Austin Hyde Park, Austin Regents, Dallas Bishop Dunne and Tyler Grace Community.

The district will be a formidable one, as Brentwood Christian finished with a 14-2 record in route to a state runner-up finished in TAPPS Division II, Arlington Prep eliminated the Guard from the state playoffs this past season and Grace Community finished with a 9-2 record, which included a victory over Brook Hill.

Brook Hill finished 7-4 during the recently completed campaign.

The Lady Guard volleyball team will be in Class 5A, District 2, along with Austin Brentwood Christian, Austin Hyde Park, Austin Regents, Dallas Bishop Dunne, Dallas Cristo Rey, Garland Brighter Horizons Academy and Tyler Grace Community.

Class 5A, District 2 will also be home to the Guard and Lady Guard basketball squads.

The district's boy's and girl's basketball teams include Arlington Grace Prep, Austin Brentwood Christian, Austin Hyde Park, Austin Regents, Brook Hill, Dallas Bishop Dunne, Dallas Cristo Rey and Tyler Grace Community.

Class 5A, District 2 in baseball will contain seven schools: Arlington Grace Prep, Austin Brentwood Christian, Austin Hyde Park, Austin Regents, Brook Hill, Dallas Bishop Dunne and Tyler Grace Community.

Five schools, Austin Brentwood Christian, Austin Hyde Park, Brook Hill, Dallas Bishop Dunne and Tyler Grace Community will make up Class 5A, District 2 for softball.

Brook Hill's Guard and Lady Guard soccer teams have been slotted into Division II, District 2.

Other teams in the circuit include: Austin Brentwood Christian, Austin Hyde Park, Austin Regents, Brook Hill, Dallas Bishop Dunne, Dallas Cristo Rey, Garland Brighter Horizons and Tyler Grace Community.
