MINTY BETS: This Saturday, UFC Fight Night takes place at the Apex in Las Vegas, Nevada. Kevin Iole joins me to give us his best bet. Kevin, we've got a bantamweight main event between Ricky Simón, at -135, and a Song Yadong, at +110. These odds aren't that crazy, and I'm kind of leaning Simón to win, but who's your money on?
KEVIN IOLE: I love Simón in this fight, and I'll tell you what, I think he is really underrated, Minty. I mean, he's lost three times. Hall of Famer Urijah Faber is one of the ones that beat him. Rob Font beat him in, if you remember, a great fight. But he has won a lot of big fights. People forget, he beat Merab Dvalishvili a while back ago. He beat Jack Shore in his last fight, beat Raphael Assuncao, Brian Kelleher. I mean, he has a lot of really big wins. I mean, this guy has been on a roll for a long time, and he has tremendous cardio.
I think Song is a very difficult fighter. He has a lot of unusual strikes and everything, but I just think that Ricky Simón is the more complete fighter. He has that wrestling, if he needs to get him the ground. I think Ricky Simón will win this, and I'm surprised to look at the rankings, and he's actually below Song in the rankings. I think that's going to change here. I like Ricky Simón. I'll go ahead and lay the $1.35 and play Ricky.
