Betting: Which teams that covered last week will cover again in Week 6?

Minty Bets, Ariel Epstein, and Pamela Maldonado give their picks for the matchups of teams that covered last week vs. teams that didn’t cover last week.

Video Transcript

ARIEL EPSTEIN: Welcome to "Yahoo Sportsbook." Alongside Pam Maldonado and Minty Bets, I'm Ariel Epstein. Last week in week five, there were some teams that covered, some that didn't. We're going to compare, in these week six lines, the teams that are going to play each other, one that covered, one that didn't from week five. We're going to give you our best bet from those games.

Pam, let's start with you. Who are you going to bet to cover the spread against a team that did or didn't cover last week?

PAMELA MALDONADO: I'm taking the Cowboys plus 6 at the Eagles. Philadelphia has played some really weak defenses this season. Though the Eagles may be 5-0, four of those wins came against teams that are ranked bottom six in defense DVOA.

The Cowboys are top six. And against the only other top 10 opponent in the Jags, Jalen Hurts had 0 touchdowns, through 1 interception, sacked twice, rushed for under 40 yards, his second-lowest of the season.

The Cowboys defense has faced Tom Brady, Joe Burrow, a Brian Daboll-coached team, and last year's Super Bowl champs in the Rams. I trust this Dallas defense. Jalen Hurts and the Eagles' offense has played JV squads. Now it's time to play against the big boys. Give me the Cowboys plus 6, easy answer.

ARIEL EPSTEIN: Ooh, easy answer. I love to hear that from Pam. Minty, you're going with a big time prime matchup between the Kansas City Chiefs and the Buffalo Bills. The Bills covered by a large margin last week, the Chiefs did not. Who are you going to take in this game?

MINTY BETS: All right, I am rolling with the Bills here, minus 3. Now, I know it's kind of a bold pick because the Chiefs, I mean, they put on a great performance on Monday night against the Raiders. And the majority of bets are coming in on Kansas City. But I like the Bills here.

This team leads the league in yards per play. And this defense, they're first in takeaways and points allowed. So I like the Bills. I think they're the best team here. And I would only bet on them minus 3 or lower, no higher than that because I am a little nervous. But I'm going with the Bills over the Chiefs.

ARIEL EPSTEIN: Line's already moving in your favor. It was minus 2, minus 2 and 1/2, now all the way up to minus 3 on Buffalo.

I'm taking a home dog. The Seattle Seahawks are getting 2 and 1/2 points against the Arizona Cardinals. Seattle is averaging just over 25 points a game this year, which is seventh-most in football. As for the Cards, they're averaging just over 21 points per game, which ranks 18th in the NFL.

The Cardinals are a very one-dimensional offense, which is going to be really beneficial for this Seahawks team that's allowed the top 10 least amount of passing yards per game, to wide receivers at least. With wide receivers tending to struggle a bit against the Seahawks' defense, it allows the Seahawks to zone in more on those receivers because the Cards don't really have much of a run game aside from their quarterback Kyler Murray. I'm going to take the points with the home dog of the Seattle Seahawks.

Here's a recap of our picks of teams that are going to play each other, one that covered last week, the other that didn't. You're going to get Pam taking the points. She says easy with the Dallas Cowboys. Minty, she's going to go lay the points with the Buffalo Bills at minus 3. I'm going to take the point with the home dog, the Seattle Seahawks.
