Betting: NFC North Futures
Frank Schwab gives his best futures bets for the NFC North in the upcoming 2023 NFL season.

FRANK SCHWAB: This is Frank Schwab of "Yahoo Sports" here to bring you my best bets for the NFC North this season. And we got to start with the favorite, which is the Detroit Lions. The Lions have not won the division since 1993, all the way back when it was still the NFC Central, but they're plus 130 to win the division. And yes, I'm going to [? add ?] a little bit on that, because it's really kind of hard to make a case against the Lions. They finished so well last year. Other teams in the division have questions.
I will go with the Lions, but I'm going to double up on that, because I'm not out on the Packers yet. I'm also going to have a little bit on the Packers, plus 400 to win the NFC North. Look, just because we don't know what Jordan Love is, doesn't mean he can't be good. This roster was one last off season that we're talking about as a contender in the NFL. It's really good around Jordan Love. He just has to do his job, and I think four in one odds, pretty good for the Packers. I'm not giving up on them yet.
And as a related play to that, I'm going to take Matt LaFleur as Coach of the Year at 20 to 1 odds. The Packers make the playoffs without Aaron Rodgers. LaFleur is going to get a lot of love in that market. He could win that award. And also, pretty obviously, I'm going to go with the Packers over 7 and 1/2 wins. So a lot of Packers bets this year.
And finally, I'm going to go against the Chicago Bears. Their over/under is also 7 and 1/2 wins. I just don't see them getting to 8. Look, Justin Fields, we saw the highlights. He's going to make strides this year. Their roster is better, but we're talking about a team that won three games last year. Are they really going to add five wins? I don't think so. I'm going pretty confidently with the Bears under 7 and 1/2 wins this season.
