Betting: Will Bucs cover -7 vs. Eagles?

Minty Bets, Jared Quay and Pamela Maldonado break down their betting picks for the Thursday Night Football matchup between the Bucs and Eagles.

Video Transcript

MINTY BETS: Let's kick off week six of the NFL with a little TNF, Thursday Night Football, as the Philadelphia Eagles host the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. The Bucs are seven point favorites and the total is 52 and 1/2.

I'm Minty Bets, here with my friends Pam Maldonado and Jared Quay. And we're here to give you our favorite bets for Thursday night.

Pam let's start with you. What do you have for us?

PAM MALDONADO: Minty, for you I have a prop. It worked well for me last week. I'm going to go with it again this week. This time, I'm rolling with quarterback Tom Brady-- over 2 and 1/2 passing touchdowns at plus money, plus 125.

The Eagles, they have allowed only 10 passing touchdowns this season. And now, you have Tom Brady, who is second in passing touchdowns on the season, just one score behind Mahomes.

The Bucs, they're 17th in rushing scores. So that definitely tells us that the pass is the preferred way to score some points. In five games this year, Brady has three games with four plus passing scores. And maybe, just maybe, he could be chasing some records here.

Brady has 36 4-touchdown games, second behind the retired Saints quarterback, Andrew Brees, who has 37 games.

MINTY BETS: Oh, spicy. All right! I like that plus money, Pam. All right, now I-- I am going to go with the Philadelphia Eagles plus the points here. Simply because the public is all over the Bucs. And just because of that, I got to look to the underdog.

Now, Philly's coming off a high after winning against one of the best defensive teams in the league, the Carolina Panthers. Their offense has improved quite a bit and I'm, like, 40% confident that they can compete and keep up with the Bucs here.

So I like the Eagles plus 7 points here. I think if we wait a little bit more, we can get a 7 and 1/2, maybe 8.

Jared, what's your pick?

JARED QUAY: You're not only fading the public, you're fading me and that's a problem, Minty. Because I'm back hot. I finally won when I was 0-4. I broke out of my Thursday Night Football curse. And I'm back on it, baby.

The Bucs, second half looked amazing against the Dolphins. That trend is going to continue.

I don't see the Eagles having the pieces to really slow down Brady, with all the weapons that he has. And I think even when you start running the ball in the second half, they still can score points.

Meanwhile, I think that the Eagles don't like running the ball, but the Bucs don't allow running. So you really looking at Jalen Hurts to really put up, like, real career high numbers, here, on a short week against the Buccaneers team. I don't see that happening.

I'd like the Bucks to roll them big, here. Obviously, Tom Brady didn't cover for two weeks. Now, he's about to be on a roll. Man on a mission. Man on fire. Brady trying to prove points.

As Pam said, he's trying to break Drew Brees' records. He's trying to take all the records off the board, like Thanos in the Marvel movies. And so, yeah, I can't bet against Brady right now. Sorry, Minty, we on opposite sides.

Bucs minus 7, minus 7 and 1/2, minus 8, all them--

MINTY BETS: Jeeze. All right. All right. Settle down, Jared.
