Betting: Will Brady and Bucs cover vs. Saints on SNF?

Minty Bets, Jared Quay, and Pamela Maldonado break down their betting picks for the Sunday Night Football matchup between the New Orleans Saints and Tampa Bay Buccaneers.

Video Transcript

MINTY BETS: For Sunday Night Football, we've got an NFC South match-up between the Bucs and the Saints. The Bucs are 10 and 1/2 home favorites and the total is 46 and 1/2. I'm Minty Bets joined by Pam Maldonado and Jared Quay. And we're going to give you our best bets. And let's kick things off to Pam first. What do you have for us?

PAMELA MALDONADO: Mindy, I'm going with the Saints, team total under 17 and 1/2. For one, the Saints still have a first quarter scoring problem. Tied at last in the league in points scored in the first quarter in the last seven games without Jameis Winston behind center. They have 10 combined points and a single field goal in the last six games.

The Saints, they are a rush-only offense. And without Jameis Winston, no running back in Mark Ingram, the Saints are going to have to rely on running back Alvin Kamara, who's averaging 3.8 yards per carry after averaging 4.6 or higher in four straight seasons. Quarterback Taysom Hill, he has become more of a mobile quarterback with 73 and 100 rushing yards in back-to-back games.

The problem with that is that the Bucs defense, still the third best against the run, top five in rushing scores allowed. If Hill does need to throw the ball, two touchdowns, five interceptions. Tampa Bay leads in sacks and turnovers per game. I don't see this game playing out as it has previously before. I will take the Saints team total under.

MINTY BETS: I actually really like that pick. And I'm going to piggyback off of your pick into mine. I like the Bucs minus 10 and 1/2 here. The Bucs are very, very stout on both sides of the ball. And I don't think this is going to be a very competitive match-up. Taysom Hill is very one-dimensional. And I just don't think the Saints will be able to produce that many points, which is why I love the Bucs minus 10 and 1/2 here. Jared, what do you have for us?

JARED QUAY: You love the pick that I'm not going to pick. Everybody loves this pick. Everybody's going, the Bucs are going to blow them out, they're the best team in the NFL. They're going against the Saints, who just continuously lose games. But this is a divisional game with a double-digit spread. And it's even worse because the Saints have won the last four regular-season games against the Bucs. So with that being the case, I know that everything leads to the Bucs winning, but I think this is a closer game. I think these coaches know each other. I think these teams know each other. Marshon Lattimore and Mike Evans are always a wash. And with that being the case, I just cannot take an 11-point spread on a team that I feel like it probably could be a four or five point game. So with that be the case, I got to go the Saints, here. I'm sorry, Minty, one of us is going to be right. On Twitter, you let me know if it's me. Because I won't watch, I can't watch this game.
