Betting: Should you bet the Suns to win the West?
Minty Bets is joined by Mark Drumheller to discuss his top pick to win the Western Conference in the NBA.

MINTY BETS: I'm Minty Bets here with Mark Drumheller, and the NBA trade deadline just ended. So it's time to evaluate some teams in the Western Conference that he believes could win the championship. Mark, the Suns are the overwhelming favorites after the Kevin Durant trade.
They're plus 240 to win it all followed by the Nuggets at plus 350, the Clippers at plus 500, Grizzlies at plus 750, the Mavericks at plus 750, and the Warriors at plus 800. Now, Mark, I never thought that I would see the Warriors so far down the list. So, who do you actually like to win the Western Conference?
MARK DRUMHELLER: I think the trade immediately makes the Suns that team to beat out in the West. You look at that lineup. Adding Kevin Durant with Chris Paul, with Booker, with Ayton, I think they're going to be really tough to guard.
You know, Kevin Durant is shooting a career high 55.9% from the field, and he's really going to have an impact on the entire team. He's going to attract the other team's best on-ball defender. And that's going to open up space for Paul to create, for Booker to get more open looks, and for Ayton to crash the rim.
So, I really like the Suns. You look at the other teams in the West here. You know, Denver, can they be consistent enough through a seven game series against a top team with elite talent like the Suns?
Have they peaked too early? Dallas doesn't play any defense. The key to Phoenix is really just staying healthy, and I think Golden State taught us a valuable lesson last year that we can't dismiss a team just because they're not healthy during the regular season. I think Phoenix is the best team in the West, and I think the odds are only going to get shorter as once Kevin Durant gets on the floor and we see what this Phoenix team looks like. So, my money's on the Suns, Minty.
