MINTY BETS: The college football season is just flying by. I am Minty Bets joined by my Yahoo squad, Pam Maldonado and, for the first time ever on video with both of us, Mark Drumheller. Both Mark and Pam will give us their favorite picks for the Heisman Trophy. As of now, the top five players on the board are CJ Stroud, Hendon Hooker, Blake Corum, Caleb Williams, and Bo Nix.

Let's go ladies first and start with Pam. Who you got for Heisman?

PAMELA MALDONADO: I'm looking further down the odds boards and targeting UNC quarterback in Drake Maye at 12 to 1 on BetMGM. But if you shop around, you can find as high as 16 to 1. The Heisman is a stat-driven category. Well, Maye, he leads the Power Five quarterbacks in passing yards, leads all quarterbacks in passing touchdowns, and is second in QPR behind only the betting favorite, Ohio State's CJ Stroud.

Maye is the only quarterback in the last 15 years to have three straight games with 3 touchdowns, 0 interceptions, at least 70% completion, and at least 250 yards passing plus 50 yards rushing. Where it really gets interesting for me is that if UNC runs the table the rest of the season, could beat Clemson in the ACC title game, if they beat Clemson, a top 20 defense, while producing these great of quarterback stats the rest of the way then, yes, Maye is as live a dog as anyone else not named CJ Stroud.

What the committee tends to look at are those Heisman moments. Well, Maye definitely has a few opportunities here in the upcoming weeks, at Wake Forest, home against NC State, and a possible title game against Clemson. Drake Maye the quarterback is the one that I want to back at 12 to 1.

MINTY BETS: OK, always can count on Pam for the dog. Now, Mark, are you looking at this top five here? Or are you looking at a long shot?

MARK DRUMHELLER: I'm actually on the favorite. I'm confident we're going to see CJ Stroud really start to pull away in the next two weeks, starting this Saturday against Indiana. The Hoosiers' defense just let off 45 points to Penn State, and they rank 129th in the country in defensive success rate allowed against the pass. I think Stroud has a great opportunity here to make a big impression on the voters in the next two weeks against Indiana and Maryland before he gets a chance to enact revenge against Michigan in what's going to be the biggest game of the year.

Also, Michigan State's upset over Illinois opens up the door for Stroud to avoid the fighting Illini's number one pass defense in the Big Ten title game. Taking the favorite might not seem like great value now, but I have a feeling in a couple of weeks, we're going to be very thankful we got a plus money ticket with CJ Stroud.

MINTY BETS: To recap the Heisman Trophy picks, Pam is riding with Drake Maye and Mark is going with the favorite in CJ Stroud. Bet $10 and win $200 when you wager on any event. Sign up at betmgm.com/yahoovip. New customers only. Must be 21 or older. Location restrictions and terms apply.
