How to bet on NY Giants vs. Dallas Cowboys with spread, over/under and moneyline

The New York Giants (2-7, last in NFC East) and Dallas Cowboys (5-3, second in NFC East) meet Sunday afternoon at AT&T Stadium.

With Giants QB Daniel Jones going down to a torn ACL last weekend in the team's 30-6 loss to the Las Vegas Raiders, New Jersey native and former Don Bosco Prep star Tommy DeVito will make his first career NFL start for Big Blue in Week 10.

The Cowboys are playing just their second home game in the last six weeks. Dallas came up just short in a 28-23 loss to the Eagles last Sunday in Philadelphia.

So how should you go about betting this matchup? Here's my analysis and preview on how to wager on the spread, total and moneyline for this NFC East matchup this weekend:

NY Giants vs. Cowboys spread: Giants +16.5 (-105), Cowboys -16.5 (-110)

The biggest spread of the season so far is this one with the Cowboys as high as 17.5-point favorites on some sportsbooks.

This shouldn't be too much of a surprise with the Giants' injuries and poor play the entire season. The Giants are tied with the Saints for the third-worst record against the spread (ATS) at 2-6-1 and a whopping 87 percent are on the Cowboys to cover this massive number.

Dallas is 3-0 ATS at home this season and have outscored its opponents, 111-33.

The Cowboys have covered in 16 of their last 19 games after a loss and I expect them to do so again in this spot against a depleted and struggling Giants' team.

DraftKings Sportsbook has the -16.5 spread with the best available price at -110 (Bet $110 to win $100).

Prediction: Cowboys -16.5

NY Giants vs. Cowboys total: Over/Under 39.5 points (-110)

The 39.5-point total is one of the lowest on the board in the NFL this weekend, but that shouldn't come as a surprise.

The Giants are one of the best teams this season to the under as eight of their nine games have gone below the projected line. It gets even better as dating back to 2021, the G-Men are 17-6 to the under in their past 23 combined games in the regular season and postseason.

The question in this scenario isn't about the Cowboys. They've put up 30+ points and gone over this total in all three matchups at AT&T Stadium. It solely comes down to can the Giants put up double-digit points?

If so, the total will go over this low bar.

Sportsbooks have this one at either 39 or 39.5 points, but for betting the under, the best number and price is at 39.5 at -110 on BetMGM.

Prediction: Under 39.5 points

NY Giants vs. Cowboys moneyline: Giants +1100 (Odds via FanDuel), Cowboys -1200 (Odds via DraftKings)

The Cowboys are a heavy favorite here as no other team in Week 10 is higher than a -345 favorite. A -1200 price means you'd have to place a $1,200 bet just to net $100 for the Cowboys' to win.

There's no real value in taking the Cowboys just to win with this price.

When looking at alternative options, my best bet would be to wager on the Cowboys team total over 27.5 points at -116 (Bet $116 to win $100) on FanDuel Sportsbook.

Dallas has gone over this line in four games this season but more importantly they've scored 28 or more points in all three games at home. In this head-to-head matchup, they've also scored at least 28 points in their previous four home games against the Giants.

Now facing a Giants team that ranks in the bottom 12 in total yards, rushing yards and points allowed per game, I expect this Cowboys offense to continue to dominate in this spot.

Hopefully the Giants can put up some type of fight, but down to a third-string QB and facing a much superior opponent on the road, it likely will be another long Sunday for them.

Prediction: Cowboys 31, Giants 7
