Sylvester Stallone stepped into the ring back in 1976 and emerged after the bell rang as a star on the rise in Hollywood.
The actor’s portrayal of underdog Rocky Balboa has since provided more than just a movie to the masses. Inspiration and, of course, imitations. But also as a justifiable slice of art imitating life where the city of Philadelphia embraces the rags-to-riches, determined persona as its own—a statuesque reality that awaits near the iconic stairs at the city’s Museum of Art.
Stallones’ fame didn’t stop with “Rocky” or any of the films in the franchise, though, with plenty of action movies and even a shot at comedy (yes, we have proof that “Oscar” and “Stop! Or My Mom Will Shoot” exist) on his resume.
In all, he’s deserving of a recognition few can genuinely claim in showbusiness: Stallone is an international star.
And with that type of larger-than-life exuberance, it’s only fitting that the cameras have followed his every move.
