Bears request to interview Steelers VP Omar Khan
According to ESPN NFL reporter Adam Schefter, the Chicago Bears could be looking to the Pittsburgh Steelers front office for their next general manager. According to Schefter, the Bears have requested permission to interview Steelers vice president Oma Khan for the vacancy.
It will be interesting to see if the Steelers give the Bears permission to interview Khan given their own general manager situation. Current Pittsburgh GM Kevin Colbert is planning to step down after the 2022 NFL draft, leaving Pittsburgh in need of their own GM. It makes sense that Khan would be the team’s succession plan.
If Khan interviews for this spot, there’s a good chance the rumors that Khan isn’t the guy are true and Pittsburgh is doing right by him by letting him seek a promotion elsewhere.
