Auburn makes top 7 for 3-star SG Davin Cosby

A day after being named a finalist for five-star center Baye Fall, Auburn made the top seven for another talented player.

Three-star shooting guard Davin Cosby included the Tigers in his final seven schools Saturday. They will be battling with Alabama, LSU, Tennessee, NC State, Virginia, and Wake Forest to land him.

The 6-foot-5, 180-pound Cosby is from Richmond, Virginia, and recently earned an offer from Auburn. He told On3’s Joe Tipton that Auburn is a new team but it is never smart to count out Bruce Pearl.

“They are new to the board but I had a great Zoom call with the staff and they showed me how I fit in the system and they seem really genuine. I have to visit to know more about them.”

He already has official visits scheduled with Virginia (Aug. 26), Alabama (Sept. 3), Tennessee on (Oct. 15), and LSU (Oct. 22) but it will be important for Auburn to try and get him to the Plains for a visit.

Cosby is ranked as the No. 148 overall player and No. 27 shooting guard in the 247Sports composite ranking. He is also ranked as the No. 3 player from North Carolina.
