Auburn football linebackers Desmond Tisdol, Kameron Brown to enter transfer portal

AUBURN – Two Auburn football linebackers are entering the transfer portal.

Kameron Brown posted to Twitter on Wednesday, announcing his intentions. About six hours later, Desmond Tisdol followed suit with an Instagram post.

"First, I want to thank God for this great gift and opportunity," Tisdol wrote. "Thank you to all my coaches during my time here at Auburn. Auburn has blessed me and my family in so many ways and we are thankful for that. I've had some of the best memories here at this place.

"With that being said I will be entering the transfer portal with two years of eligibility left."

Tisdol appeared in 24 games over three seasons with the Tigers, tallying 17 tackles, including a five-tackle performance against Arkansas in 2022.

Brown, who is the younger brother of former Auburn standout Derrick Brown, was used on special teams.

"I want to thank Coach Malzahn for giving that kid from Sugar Hill an opportunity that he will never forget!" Brown wrote. "However I'd like to thank every coach that I've had the chance to play under and it's been a blessing getting to know you all! ...

"This has been a difficult decision because of the Love of Auburn in my heart and my family. With that being said I'd like to enter my name in the portal as a Graduate transfer. As I will be graduating this spring from Auburn University!"
