Arkansas lands likely Cam Little replacement from transfer portal

When Arkansas kicker Cam Little announced at the end of the 2023 season he would forgo his senior year with the Razorbacks for the NFL, Arkansas lost its best player.

Less than a month later, at least, the Hogs may have his replacement.

Former Hawaii kicker Matthew Shipley announced his commitment to Aransas from the transfer portal over the weekend.

And although the announcement came with little fanfare, as it were, Shipley’s commitment fills a massive hole for the Razorbacks after Little’s career as the third all-time leading kicker in school history. Plus, he had one year to go.

Shipley, a Texas native, is perhaps Hawaii’s best kicker in school history, too. He spent four years as the regular on field goals and extra points and he was also the Rainbow Warriors’ punter, though he likely won’t have that job in Fayetteville.

Last year, Shipley made 14 of 18 tries on field goals and went 30 for 31 on extra points.
