LIVE second-half blog and updates: Arkansas football vs. Missouri

The final 30 minutes of the Arkansas football season are upon us and, mercifully, this nightmare year will come to an end.

The Razorback defense haven’t played their best, but it wouldn’t matter if they did because the offense has been nonexistent. The Hogs have put up 50 total yards of offense and have a grand total of two first downs.

On the flip side, Missouri has 276 yards of total offense, 204 of those have come on the ground and 192 of those are from Cody Schrader – who is on pace to break a lot of records in this second half.

With the 9th-ranked Tigers up 20-0, it’s hard to imagine the outcome of this one being something other than Missouri walking away with the Battle Line Trophy.

Follow along for live scores, updates, highlights and more from the final 30 minutes of the 2023 season from Donald W. Reynolds Razorback Stadium.

The Arkansas defense is finally able to get a stop and force Missouri to punt.

Not before Schrader rips off a 12-yard rush to eclipse 200 yards rushing in the game, but they do eventually hold the Tigers.

Arkansas’ offense gets some momentum going, but that is extremely short-lived. Isaac TeSlaa picks up 13 on a short pass to the far sideline.

Ensuing play, Criswell is hit from his blind side and fumbles again. It’s picked up by Jayden Jernigan and returned 21 yards for another Missouri touchdown.

Augustave is able to keep the ball moving as he rips off 11 yards up near midfield to move the chains.

Three plays later, Dominique Johnson is stopped short of the first down marker bringing up a 4th-and-1.

Missouri lines up in the neutral zone and Arkansas picks up the first down via penalty. This will be the first snap for the Hogs in Missouri territory all game.

On 2nd-and-3, Missouri completely blows up Arkansas’ play-call and stuffs Criswell for a four-yard loss.

END OF THE 3RD QUARTER

Hogs faced with a 3rd-and-7 and move the chains on a completion to AJ Green.

Hogs are faced with a 4th-and-7 at the Missouri 28 and convert when Criswell finds Isaac TeSlaa for a 21-yard gain. Two plays later, Criswell finds Andrew Armstrong for an eight-yard touchdown.

Cam Little’s extra point is GOOD.

Augustave rips off an 11-yard carry and then Dominque Johnson scampers for a huge 41-yard gain down to the five-yard line.

Arkansas tries an onside kick, but Missouri recovers and returns it to the Razorback 26-yard line.

A 16-yard rush by Nathaniel Peat gets Missouri down to the goal line, but Arkansas’ defense is stingy. They stand tall and force a 4th-and-goal.

Unfortunately, Peat gets in on his fourth try from scrimmage and scores a touchdown from one yard out.

Arkansas will have one final chance to put points on the board this season. Drive starts at the 25-yard line.

Augustave rips off a 13-yard rush to start. Next play, Criswell finds Armstrong for an 18-yard gain.

The Hogs are able to pick up one more first down on this drive before it comes to an end. Criswell gets hit and Arkansas loses a fumble for the fifth time today.

Missouri takes a knee and that’ll do it on an abysmal 2023 season.
