Arkansas baseball vs. Grambling: Live score updates

Seventh Inning

  • FINAL: No. 5 Arkansas 21, Grambling State 1. Jayson Jones hit two home runs and had six RBIs in the win. Arkansas scored double the amount of runs and recorded more hits than it did all weekend in Arlington, and the Razorbacks are now 6-2 on the season. Freshman Colin Fisher picked up the win and is now 2-1.

Sixth Inning

  • The Hogs tack on another run thanks to an RBI single by Ross Lovich. Tate McGuire is coming out of the bullpen for the final three outs.

  • Gage Wood sets the Tigers down in order. Nice, quick inning for the Arkansas reliever. The Hogs lead is still 20-0.

Fifth Inning

  • Arkansas scores six more runs and now leads 20-0. Jayson Jones hit his second home run and the Razorbacks' second grand slam of the afternoon. Gage Wood is coming out to pitch the sixth inning. This game appears headed for a seventh-inning finish.

Fourth Inning

  • Arkansas tacked on two more runs in the bottom half. Will Edmunson scored on a wild pitch, and Ross Lovich came off the bench with an RBI. The Razorbacks lead 14-0.

  • Dossett strikes out the side with some electric stuff. The fastball topped out at 95 mph, and he mixed in some terrific breaking balls. Arkansas leads 12-0, and there is a 10-run rule in effect today.

Third Inning

  • Arkansas scores five more runs in the bottom of the third, and the Hogs lead 12-0. Jayson Jones hit a long two-run home run to left field, while Diggs and White had an RBI. Parker Coil's day is finished, with Cooper Dossett coming in to pitch the top of the 4th.

Second Inning

  • Nothing doing for Arkansas in the second. Grambling brought in Brett Washington out of the bullpen, who didn't register a pitch faster than 80 mph, but was able to keep Arkansas off the scoreboard.

  • Arkansas starting pitcher Colin Fisher threw just one inning, with Parker Coil coming into work a clean top of the second. There's nobody working in the bullpen, so Coil looks destined for another inning. Fisher, the reigning SEC co-Freshman of the Week, hasn't given up an earned run in 8 1/3 innings this season.

First Inning

  • Arkansas jumped all over Grambling starting pitcher Carlos Peguero, and the Hogs lead 7-0 after the first inning. The highlight of the frame was a grand slam in Hudson Polk's first at-bat of the season, which was smoked 421-feet to center field. Kendall Diggs, Hudson White and Will Edmunson all had one RBI in the inning.

Pre-Game Notes

  • The Arkansas starting lineup has been posted below. Dave Van Horn is going back to most of his normal starters, with two notable changes. Ty Wilmsmeyer is getting a day off in center field with Will Edmunson taking his place. Hudson Polk will also get his first start behind the plate, with Hudson White serving as the designated hitter.
