Here are The Arizona Republic's latest Super 10 boys high school soccer rankings. These are teams from any conference in the state. Next season, the Arizona Interscholastic Association will be going to an Open Division playoff system, taking top teams from all of the conferences for the ultimate state prize.

On Jan. 9, the AIA will release its first batch of winter sports playoff ratings through its computer recipe.

The Republic's Boys Soccer Super 10

1, Tucson Sunnyside Blue Devils, 15-0-1

Clearly the state's best team. They beat Hamilton 1-0 last week for the Arizona Soccer Showcase championship, as senior Javier Gonzalez had the only goal on an assist from Adrian Gutierrez.

2. Chandler Hamilton Huskies, 10-3

Coach Tim Vance's team went 4-1 in the Arizona Soccer Showcase, beating Desert Vista, Salpointe Catholic, Washington and Westwood each by one goal, before losing 1-0 to Sunnyside in the championship game.

3. Tempe Corona del Sol Aztecs, 11-2

The San Clemente, California tournament last week will be helpful for the Aztecs run to a 6A championship. They lost to host San Clemente 2-1 and to Torrey Pines 4-0 before beating San Dieguito Academy 2-0.

4. Mesa Jackrabbits, 7-0-1

They had the break off but the schedule ramps up next week with matches against Brophy Prep and Desert Vista. Captains Eddy Mbugua and Edgar Perez have been stellar for the 'Rabbits, leading them to a No. 25 national ranking.

5. San Luis Sidewinders, 5-0-1

The tie came against Mesa in the season opener. This is a team capable of getting to the 6A final, behind Misael Meza, who leads them with seven goals. They gave Yuma Kofa its third loss this week, 4-2.

San Luis player Misael Meza (10) shoots from a free kick against Perry during the 6A Championship game at Dobson High School in Mesa on Feb. 25, 2023.

6. Tucson Badgers, 9-1

Their only loss was to Sunnyside. They came out on fire this week, beating Catalina 8-0 and Amphitheater 5-1. Circle Jan. 16 on the calendar. They play perennial 4A powerhouse Salpointe Catholic that night at Salpointe.

7. Salpointe Lancers, 9-2

They've got a big showdown against Sunnyside on Wednesday. Leo Gutierrez has 24 goals in just 11 games.

8. Desert Vista Thunder, 8-2-4

How many more draws can this team have? They beat defending 6A champion Perry 3-2 on Dec. 15, then, three days later, tied Pinnacle 4-4. They tied Sunnyside in the Arizona Showcase 0-0 and lost to Hamilton 2-1.

9. Arizona College Prep Knights, 13-0

They're a 4A team that might give Salpointe a run. They've given up just three goals, while scoring 60. They beat 6A Mesa Mountain View 4-0, Mesa Dobson 2-0, Gilbert 2-0 and Red Mountain 1-0 in a span of three days in early December.

10. Phoenix Country Day Eagles, 3-0

This is the lone 3A team in the Super 10. But this team is special. They outscored their first three opponents 11-0. They'll play four games over the next six days.
