Arizona cares about hockey. The problem is the Coyotes care about real estate

I’m tired of hearing the Coyotes hockey team is leaving because Arizona doesn’t care enough about hockey. Utah does?

Does Utah have a NCAA Division 1 college hockey team? Arizona does, and ASU hockey is one of the most successful programs in college hockey.

The problem with the Coyotes is that hockey has never been the priority of the owners.

The owners have been and still are real-estate developers whose priority has been leveraging a sports team to build a real-estate empire, not a hockey empire ala ASU.

If Coyotes leave: Arizona may have dodged a slapshot

Arizona needs to find itself an owner who cares about hockey, not real estate.

BTW: The problem with Arizona is real-estate developers run the place.
