Arizona Cardinals 'quadruple down' on Kyler Murray social media promotion after criticism
The Arizona Cardinals received some backlash on social media earlier this week for a post supportive of QB Kyler Murray that reminded people of a post the team made about Josh Rosen before the team ended up trading the QB in 2019.
But instead of being quiet and letting the post eventually fade away (it had 12 million views on X as of Wednesday morning), the Cardinals are doubling down on its praise of Murray on its X account.
After Arizona's initial "Our franchise QB" post on Monday, the Cardinals' social media team has since posted several other posts about Murray.

Fans question Cardinals' social media strategy for Kyler Murray
Fans of the Cardinals on social media were still hesitant about the team's social media strategy to so vocally endorse Murray after being burned by the team's endorsement of Rosen on social media before the 2019 NFL Draft.

The Cardinals ended up picking Murray No. 1 overall in that 2019 NFL Draft and traded Rosen after the team had previously called the talk of the team doing just that "speculation" in its very own post, which included a quote from then-coach Kliff Kingsbury saying that Rosen was the Cardinals' "guy."
