Arizona Cardinals fans slam NFL power rankings after Week 1: 'They love to hate us'
The Arizona Cardinals surprised a lot of people with their play in NFL Week 1 before narrowly losing to the Washington Commanders, 20-16.
But the performance wasn't enough to elevate the team in most NFL power rankings, which continue to rank Arizona's NFL team as the worst team in the league.
That didn't sit well with many Cardinals fans, who saw other teams look at lot worse than Arizona in the opening week (the New York Giants lost to the Dallas Cowboys at home, 40-0, and the Houston Texans were blown out by the Baltimore Ravens, 25-9, are examples).
They took to social media to slam Arizona's position in the latest NFL power rankings, sharing their thoughts as to why the Cardinals should not be ranked as the worst team in the league after their NFL Week 1 performance.
Where should the Cardinals be ranked after their Week 1 loss?

NFL power rankings too low on Arizona Cardinals?
ESPN had Arizona last in its latest ranking, the same position it had it in the preseason.
NFL.com also put the Cardinals at No. 32, keeping its same rank from the week before.
CBS Sports also kept the Cardinals at No. 32 in its NFL power rankings.
Pro Football Network also listed Arizona at No. 32 again.
Fox Sports and Bleacher Report also followed the trend of keeping the Cardinals at No. 32 despite the close loss vs. Washington.

NFL power rankings draw ire of Arizona Cardinals fans
Social media had some strong reaction to Arizona staying at No. 32 in most NFL power rankings with one commenter saying that NFL writers "love to hate us" when writing about the Cardinals.
All of the NFL Power Rankings keeping the Cardinals at No. 32 just seem lazy to me. You cannot convince me this team is worse than the Texans.
ESPN - No. 32
CBS - No. 32
B/R - No. 32
USA Today - No. 32
NFL - No. 32
Yahoo - No. 32
Fox - No. 32— Kyler Burd (@AZCard_BurdsEye) September 12, 2023
You cant even really convince me they're worse than Washington. We gave that game away.

Agree that they are No. 30 at best. Still, it seems like they took a look at the box scores and saw that Arizona lost so lets just keep them where they are.
I've watched both games in full and Arizona showed significantly more potential than Houston. Of course, just my opinion.— Kyler Burd (@AZCard_BurdsEye) September 12, 2023
I agree. Only way we move up is by winning.

Agreed! I thought the exact same thing.

Did we really look worse than the giants? Those rankings are lazy.
— John 🐗 (@jd_hogzilla) September 12, 2023
Giants would like a word for 32nd.
— Tonights the night! (@TonightsCode) September 12, 2023
NYG scored 0 pts and offensively played worse!
— Kevin Simeon ✭ (@ksimeon7) September 12, 2023
Yeah I don't get it. We scored more point against a better defense and actually had a chance to win.
— BJ Ojulari SZN (@PickedByBaker) September 12, 2023
Giants are the worst team in the NFL right now

More proof the media doesn't pay any attention to our games and doesn't know anything about our team

Where should the Arizona Cardinals be ranked in NFL power rankings?
Interestingly, The Arizona Republic ranked the Cardinals No. 31 in its NFL power rankings after Week 1, ahead of the Texans.
But that isn't high enough for some.
Blow out a playoff team from last year 40-0 on the road and you have three teams that lost in front of them, two of which played like total crap. Laughable.
