Arch Manning named finalist for Gatorade’s National Player of the Year
Texas quarterback signee Arch Manning was named Gatorade’s Player of the Year in the state of Louisiana on Friday.
Manning broke all sorts of records in his senior season at Isidore Newman High School. He passed his uncles Peyton and Eli’s passing yards and touchdown marks at the high school level. Manning threw for an impressive 34 touchdowns with just two interceptions on the season.
In addition, the newest Texas quarterback was named a finalist for Gatorade’s National Player of the Year honors. Joining Manning as finalists for the prestigious award are fellow five-star quarterbacks Malachi Nelson (USC) and Jackson Arnold (Oklahoma).
Manning is the crowned jewel of Texas’ 2023 recruiting class that ranks No. 3 in the nation according to 247Sports composite.
Arch arrived on campus in Austin this week and is ready to start his Longhorn career.
