Anthony Davis went through full-contact scrimmage

Anthony Davis, the Los Angeles Lakers’ superstar big man, took yet another step forward in his recovery from a stress injury in his right foot.

He has been progressing well over the past week or so according to multiple reports. He started doing individual workouts that lasted up to an hour, then he took part in practice later this week.

Dave McMenamin of ESPN reported on Friday that Davis could return to the Lakers’ lineup as soon as late next week.

Through it all, head coach Darvin Ham has said that Davis has remained virtually pain-free.

On Saturday, according to Ham, the big man took part in a full-contact scrimmage and looked great.

With some tough games coming up, including a five-game road trip that starts on Saturday, the Lakers cannot wait for Davis to return.
