Announcers set for Bears vs. Commanders Week 5 game

The Chicago Bears (0-4) will face the Washington Commanders on Thursday Night Football in Week 5 of the 2023 NFL season, where Chicago desperately needs a win to snap their 14-game losing streak.

The Bears’ Week 5 game will air on Prime Video at 7:15 p.m. CT. The television commentators for the game are Al Michaels (play-by-play), Kirk Herbstreit (analyst) and Kaylee Hartung (sideline).

Chicago is coming off a brutal 31-28 loss to the Denver Broncos, where the Bears choked away a 21-point lead at the end of the third quarter. Justin Fields’ career game was marred by a couple of late turnovers that helped the Broncos pull off the comeback win.

Meanwhile, Washington is coming off a disappointing 34-31 overtime loss to the Philadelphia Eagles. The Commanders held strong against the undefeated Eagles, including forcing overtime in the final seconds. Sam Howell has been more than serviceable at quarterback for Washington, and he’ll look to build on his success against a bad Bears defense.

Chicago desperately needs a win as their active losing streak continues to grow. Now, they’ll face the Commanders in a rematch of last year’s brutal Thursday night matchup. Can the Bears finally get that win?
