Andrew Vorhees falls to sixth round in NFL mock draft

Andrew Vorhees falls to sixth round in NFL mock draft

USC Trojans offensive lineman Andrew Vorhees entered the draft process with a ton of hype. Unfortunately, he tore his ACL during the combine, scaring a ton of teams off from selecting him as a Day 2 pick. Still, he did the bench press even with the injury and caught a ton of attention.

In a full 7-round mock draft by Dane Brugler of The Athletic, Vorhees was selected 188th overall as a sixth-round pick by the Houston Texans.

The Texans getting a quality offensive lineman this late in the draft would be massive for them, especially with all signs pointing to them selecting either Bryce Young or C.J. Stroud with the No. 2 pick as the team’s franchise quarterback.

If Vorhees was healthy, he could very well be a Day 2 pick, so being there at the end of the sixth round is a win for the Texans.

Andrew Vorhees is one of the harder-to-read prospects in the draft due to his ALC tear, but the talent and the tape on the field are unquestionable. The Texans could find a starting OL in the sixth round, and it’s not very often you can say that. The thing is, he won’t be ready for the 2023 season, so they have to have patience. The Texans also select No. 12 overall, so there’s a path to Jordan Addison teaming up with Vorhees in Houston.
