Andre Reed named ‘Legend of the Game’ for Bills vs. Buccaneers

Andre Reed is ready to return to Buffalo. And he hopes to make you proud again, as the Bills (4-3) have announced that Reed will be back in Orchard Park and honored prior  the team’s game against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers (3-3).

Reed will be the “Legend of the Game.”  And the Buffalo Bills organization – and we assume fans – are extremely excited for his return:

Reed spent nearly every year out of the 16 seasons in the NFL with the Bills, wearing Buffalo blue from 1985 to 1999.

During his long tenured career he earned seven consecutive Pro Bowl nominations, winning four consecutive AFC championships before the final year of his career at another team. Following his retirement, Andre Reed’s impact on and off the field was honored as he deservedly made his way onto the Buffalo Bills Wall of Fame in 2006 before eventually being inducted into the Pro Football Hall of Fame in 2014.

Reed noted to the team’s website that he has not been back in Buffalo for a couple seasons as he lives in California now, but he has been looking forward to his return to Western New York.

“Always excited to come up there,” Reed said. “The fan base has always been great there, you know, one of the best fan bases in the country.”

Prior to kickoff, he will pump up Bills Mafia ahead of the opening kick and team introductions.

Get to your seats early to see a Bills legend be warmly welcomed by fans and organization during his acknowledgement before the Bills take on the Buccaneers.
