Alabama softball is set to face Tennessee in the NCAA super regionals at Sherri Parker Lee Stadium.
The nationally 14-seeded Crimson Tide (36-17) went 3-0 last weekend to win the Tuscaloosa Regional and advance to its 18th super regional, an NCAA record. No. 3 seed Tennessee (43-10) is making its 13th appearance in the NCAA super regionals after going 3-0 and winning the Knoxville Regional last weekend.
It marks the second time this season Alabama and Tennessee have faced off. The Lady Vols traveled to Rhoads Stadium in April, taking the first two games over Alabama (5-0, 2-0) before the Crimson Tide won the series finale 1-0 to avoid the sweep.
The winner of the Knoxville Super Regional will punch a ticket to the Women's College World Series. Alabama is looking to make its second straight trip to the Women's College World Series and 15th in program history.
The first game of the super regional is set for Friday with Game 2 on Saturday. Game 3, if necessary, will be on Sunday.
