Alabama softball live score updates vs. Longwood, Georgia Tech at the Buzz Classic
Alabama softball opens its 2024 season this weekend at the Buzz Classic in Atlanta, Georgia.
The Crimson Tide got their season started off with a 3-0 victory over Villanova on Thursday night, where Kayla Beaver threw a no-hitter in her Alabama debut. On Friday, the Crimson Tide picked up a 13-0 win over Longwood and a 3-1 win over Georgia Tech. They close out play today, facing Longwood at 12:30 p.m. CT and Georgia Tech at 3 p.m. CT.
The Crimson Tide are coming off a 45-22 finish in 2023 along with their 14th appearance in the Women's College World Series. Alabama is slated to play five games at the Buzz Classic, starting Thursday, Feb. 8 and going through Saturday, Feb. 10.
Alabama comes into the season ranked No. 12 in the USA Today/NFCA preseason top 25 coaches poll and No. 14 in ESPN.com/USA Softball preseason top 25 that was released on Jan. 23.
