Alabama player to watch: Rylan Griffen

With Latrell Wrightsell questionable for Saturday’s matchup against the Wildcats, the Alabama backcourt will need a boost and Rylan Griffen could be the man for the job. Griffen has shown tremendous improvement in his sophomore season and is capable of knocking down the outside shot. With a lot of attention on Mark Sears, Griffen could be in for a big game.

Kentucky player to watch: Reed Sheppard

Kentucky has one of the more talented backcourt in the country and freshman Reed Sheppard is more than capable of making a defense pay if given a little bit of space. Running Sheppard off of the three-point line will be key to Alabama’s success.

Winning in Rupp Arena is never easy but Alabama has more than enough to go in and take down the Wildcats. With a completely healthy Wrightsell, I would feel more comfortable picking the Tide, but John Calipari and Kentucky are in desperate need of a win and I expect the Wildcats to play well. It will take an A+ effort from the Tide to come away with a win. This game could truly go either way.
