Alabama high school sports: Vote for Gadsden Times boys and girls athlete of the Week of April 19
It's that time of the week, time to vote for the Gadsden area boys and girls athlete of the week.
Gaston's Jayce Stephens won 43% of the vote after six RBIs, beating out Boaz's Bradyn Bennett. On the girls side Hokes Bluff's Lacey Grace Hall earned her second straight award with 51% of the vote over West End's Emma Finch.
Nominees for athlete of the week come from the top performers the week before. Voting will last until Thursday at noon.

Gaston's Kodie Bogle - won high jump at Javelin at Etowah County track meet
Southside's Evan Christopher - won 800-meter, 1,600-meter and 3,200-meter at Etowah County track meet
Sardis's Carson Gillilan - 3 RBIs, 2 runs scored

Gadsden City's Raegan Brooks - 2 goals, assist, 6 steals
Sardis Jayden Johnson - runner up in Class 4A-5A, Section 6 No. 1 singles
Southside's Kathryn Webb - won 300-meter hurdles, high jump, triple jump and long jump
Piedmont's Savannah Smith - 11 strikeouts
Hokes Bluff's Abby Payne - HR, 3 RBIs, 2 runs scored
