Alabama high school football playoffs: Gadsden area outlook ahead of Week 10

As the Alabama high school football season enters the final week of the regular season, plenty of Gadsden area squads have punched their postseason tickets, or know that Week 10 is all they got left.

While some teams are still in tiebreakers — most notably, Southside is in the running for a region title and in a three-way tie. This story will deal with who has clinched and what games could matter for tiebreakers.

What games still matter for playoffs

The biggest game is the Southside-Etowah game, where Southside can gain a couple of wins to hit the non-region opponents win total metric a little better. Guntersville's matchup with Albertville does not carry that benefit, as the Aggies are winless.
