Alabama’s DeVonta Smith exits with hand injury

After catching 12 passes for 215 yards and three touchdowns in the first half of Alabama’s CFP Championship game with Ohio State Monday, Heisman Trophy winner DeVonta Smith has left with a hand injury.

It happened on an incomplete pass when he appeared to jam it against an Ohio State defender.

Smith spent an extended period in the medical tent on the field before heading to the locker room.

Rams star DB Jalen Ramsey was concerned for the health of college players with their NFL futures ahead.

Alabama QB Mac Jones hobbled back to the huddle after a scramble with his leg bothering him and WR Jaylen Waddle was limping around the field in his return after suffering two broken bones in his leg against Tennessee.
