Aidan Hutchinson earns serious praise from NFL execs
Aidan Hutchinson is off to a great start to his NFL career already with the Detroit Lions. He built off an impressive rookie season with a Week 1 performance that had a huge impact on his team’s win over the Kansas City Chiefs, even if it didn’t make a big dent on the stat sheet.
That’s exactly what some NFL execs told Matt Lombardo of FanBuzz prior to the season. Hutchinson is widely regarded as one of the game’s brightest young defensive stars. Lombardo pulled several laudatory quotes about the No. 2 overall pick in the 2022 NFL draft.
“They’re going to be able to sustain a lot of success because of him,” a veteran NFL executive told FanBuzz. “You might not see the ESPN highlights from Aidan, but they have a total home run on and off the field for the rest of his career. What you’ve seen, that’s just setting the table for the rest of his career.”
Lombardo also got this quote on Hutchinson,
“You don’t have to look any further than his work ethic and consistency, but you take all of that with his sh****** of skills, and you have something special.”
Oh yeah, this one too,
“That dude’s a stud,” an NFC East scout told FanBuzz, on the condition of anonymity to speak candidly about Hutchinson. “Especially when you think about his motor and his savvy understanding of how to set up his rush moves and counters.”
Backing up that offseason hype and praise with such an impressive Week 1 is only going to make more believers in Hutchinson around the football nation.
