Affidavit: Hernandez initially uncooperative with cops
Police records released in the Aaron Hernandez case and obtained by the Boston Herald show the former New England Patriots tight end was uncooperative as police began to execute their search of his home and question him in the death of Odin Lloyd.
The affidavit released to the media states that Hernandez asked police "what's with all the questions" and slammed his door in the face of detectives who initially came to question him in the murder investigation of Lloyd's death.
Written in the affidavit is the statement from state tropper Eric Benson is the following: "Mr. Hernandez slammed the door and locked it behind him. Aaron Hernandez did not ask officers whose death was being investigated nor did he display any outward signs of concern."
Elsewhere in the 156-page document, per the Herald report:
* Hernandez's fiancee, Shayanna Jenkins, told police Lloyd "smoked marijuana and also was a marijuana dealer," who she often saw talking on his telephone "about marijuana sales."
* A witness told police Hernandez was with Lloyd at the Boston nightclub Rumor on June 14, and that he saw what appeared to be a handgun in Hernandez's waistband.
* Items taken from Hernandez's home include a "boarding receipt" for Ernest Wallace, the 41-year-old man arrested in Florida last week on a charge of being an accessory after the fact of murder. Police also seized a "FEG Hungarian rifle" in a gym bag located in the back seat of a Toyota parked inside Hernandez's garage; a box of .22 caliber ammunition from a safe, an Apple iPhone 5, a Blackberry "Bold" cell phone, three iPads, a digital video recorder and a hard drive.
* The manager of the car-rental agency where Hernandez returned a Nissan Altima told police she found a bullet and a chewed piece of Bubblicious gum -- the same kind Hernandez had offered her -- in the car. Police retrieved both items from a trash bin.
* Hernandez' fiancee also told police he installed his surveillance system after several recent attempted break-ins. Prosecutors have said he had as many as 14 surveillance cameras.
* The day after Hernandez's arrest, investigators went to Gillette Stadium and took a padlocked box holding the contents of Hernandez's locker. The papers do not say what, if anything, detectives found in that box. Stadium security told police he visited Gillette the day after the murder.
