The Buffalo Bills are nearing the end of the 2023 NFL regular season as they won their Week 17 matchup against the New England Patriots at Highmark Stadium.
Like Buffalo (and New England), the rest of the AFC East was in action this week as the regular season comes to a close. And with the remainder of the regular season determining how the postseason will look, how does the AFC East stack up right now?
Here is a quick recap of all the action that went down in the AFC East with the Miami Dolphins, New York Jets, and Patriots as well as an updated look at the divisional standings:
New England Patriots
The Bills edged out the Patriots in their final meeting of 2023. New England has locked up last place in the AFC East with the loss.
Final score: 27-21 Bills.
New York Jets
The Cleveland Browns are a wagon right now. The Jets were their latest victim as the resurgence of quarterback Joe Flacco continued. Flacco finished with 309 yards and three touchdowns en route to rolling.
Final score: 37-20 Browns.
Miami Dolphins
The Dolphins could have locked up the AFC East title but left the door open for the Bulls. After they were blown out by the Baltimore Ravens, Week 18’s Buffalo at Miami Dolphins will be a winner-take-all for the AFC East.
Final score: 56-19 Dolphins.
