Adam Thielen asked about his future with Panthers

Despite what his final statistics say, Carolina Panthers wide recevier Adam Thielen isn’t getting any younger. So, is he prepared to stick it out in Charlotte?

The 33-year-old spoke to reporters following Sunday’s 9-0 loss to the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, an outing that punctuated a miserable 2-15 campaign for the Panthers. Thielen was asked if the transition to a new coaching staff will affect his future with the organization.

“Yeah, it’ll affect it,” he replied, via WCNC’s Nick Carboni. “But I got a lot of belief that they’re gonna find a way to make it right. So, that’s my vision goin’ forward.

“I committed to bein’ here for two years. When we kinda negotiated the contract, I was sayin’ I wanna be here, I wanna be a part of something special, buildin’ somethin’ special. So I wanna uphold that commitment and I’m excited to see what that looks like.”

Thielen, who signed a three-year, $25 million contract last offseason, just put up quite the 10th NFL season—recording 103 receptions for 1,014 yards and four touchdowns. 2023 marked his second career 100-catch campaign and his first 1,000-yard one since 2018.
