49ers select USC DE Drake Jackson with 1st pick in 2022 NFL draft
The 49ers have finally picked in the 2021 NFL draft! They took USC defensive end Drake Jackson with the No. 61 overall pick.
Jackson measured in at 6-3, 254 pounds and drew a comparison from NFL.com’s Lance Zierlein to former 49ers EDGE Eli Harold. Jackson will give the 49ers additional edge rush help behind Nick Bosa and Samson Ebukam.
He played in 27 games across three seasons for the Trojans and racked up 12.5 sacks with 25 tackles for loss.
