Here are 34 Augusta-area girls high school soccer players to watch in 2024
Soccer is back and expectations are just as high for Augusta-area high school teams.
Last season was highlighted by a pair of programs making it to the finals in their respective classifications. Aquinas turned around from a winless season to a Georgia High School Association Class A D-II state championship. Meanwhile, Greenbrier rode a wave of dominance to a runner-up finish in the GHSA 5A state finals, becoming the first Columbia County program to make it as far.
In other classifications, Grovetown (6A) made it to the second round of the state playoffs. Other qualifiers include Lakeside (6A), Evans (6A), Richmond Academy (3A), Harlem (3A), Richmond County Technical Career Magnet (2A) and Thomson (2A).
As we look to another season, it’s another opportunity for those teams to defend their titles. For others, it’s a chance to take that next step, or make a splash. Here are 34 Augusta-area players to keep an eye on as the action begins in the next few days.
