Creating a baby registry can be overwhelming for new parents. With so many extravagant and innovative products out there, it can be hard to know what you really need.

Luckily, In The Know’s Andrea and Jose each have three kids so when it comes to making the perfect baby registry, they’re pros.

“About six months into my pregnancy,” Andre explained. “I think I had just realized that I actually had to give birth and then be a parent to this child. And then having to put together a registry was something I had never done before. There were so many products out there, a zillion websites, I really had no clue where to start.”

But three registries later, Andrea is confident in her ability to help new parents make the ideal one.

“We’ve got you covered with the three top registry items that you’re actually going to be using every day,” Andrea said.

1. UPPAbaby Vista V2 Stroller

Andrea said the UPPAbaby Vista V2 stroller is the V.I.P. of her life. In New York City, where residents walk everywhere she puts miles on her carriage, which means it has to be durable.

“[It] can easily be wheeled with one hand and I know that it’s a sleek ride,” Andrea said. “I feel good pushing my kids around in it and I know that it’s gonna last the test of time.”

The Uppababy Vista V2 stroller is also convertible so that it grows with your baby. It can switch from a bassinet for those early months and a proper seat for later. Over time, with some add-ons, it can even accommodate up to three children.

2. Nuna Pippa Car Seat

What Jose loved about the Nuna Pippa car seat was just how portable it was.

“Let’s just talk about how it’s the lightest in its class,” Jose said. “It is just five pounds. When I have this on the go and I have my laptop bag and my man purse, it just makes things really easy.”

The car seat is also made of moisture-controlling fabric and is environmentally friendly.

“Another thing I wanted to mention was this sun protector,” Jose said as he pulled down the car seat’s retractable mesh protector that provides shade for the baby and is secured by magnets.

3. BabyBjorn Travel Crib Light

Andrea said she regrets not having the BabyBjorn travel crib on her registry during her first pregnancy. The one she did get was so poorly made she couldn’t give it away.

“I love that it’s completely all machine washable,” Andrea said. “The fabrics are really great and breathable but the best thing about it is — and the whole point of a travel crib is — that it’s easy to travel with. It’s super lightweight, very, very easy to assemble and it very easily folds up into a compact little package with handles.”

That means the travel crib can be stowed away in an airplane compartment or the back of your car without taking up too much space. You can even carry it like a backpack when you’re on foot.

“I think something that people really don’t talk about often is the strain it puts on us parents when we’re carrying around so much stuff,” Jose added. “So hopefully these will make your life a lot easier.”
