3 observations from Day 7 of Buffalo Bills training camp
The Buffalo Bills continue their 2023 training camp journey.
Here were three big observations and takeaways that surfaced from reports during Day 7 of camp:
CB battle heats up
Could the position battle for the No. 2 cornerback spot be down to two? Christian Benford made plays early but has been quiet as of late.
Reports indicated that Dane Jackson and Kaiir Elam both played well on Thursday. Elam saw more run with the starting defense, however, both intercepted quarterback Josh Allen during team drills per WGR-550 radio.
Damien with the ones
For the majority of Bills camp, 2022 second-round pick James Cook has taken the bulk of reps with the starting offense. But Damien Harris an extended run with that top group on Day 7, according to Buffalo Rumblings. Something to watch for moving forward–Maybe Harris was being brought along slowly?
Isabella getting a chance
Andy Isabella turned heads for the first time at Bills camp since signing with the team. A few reports including CBS Sports noted that Isabella was getting open in the red zone while working with the backup offense. Could that production get him some first-team reps?
