2024 in-state linebacker commits to Tennessee

Four-star linebacker Edwin Spillman announced his commitment to Tennessee on Friday.

Spillman committed to the Vols over Ohio State. His brother, wide receiver Nate Spillman, signed with Tennessee last year.

The 6-foot-1, 220-pound linebacker is from Lipscomb Academy in Nashville, Tennessee.

Spillman is the No. 300 prospect and No. 27 linebacker in the class of 2024. He ranks as the No. 2 linebacker and No. 7 player in Tennessee, according to On3 industry rankings.

Spillman earned MaxPreps Junior All-American honors and was a first-team All-State selection, recording 101 tackles, 14.5 tackles for a loss, two sacks and six pass breakups.

Following Spillman’s commitment, Tennessee’s 2024 class ranks No. 7 nationally and No. 4 in the Southeastern Conference.
