2024 five-star forward and UNC target sets commitment date
One key UNC basketball target has set his commitment date for later this month and has his finalists in order.
2024 five-star forward Trentyn Flowers announced his commitment date, March 17 at 5:30 pm ET.
His finalists are North Carolina, Alabama, Arkansas, Creighton, Kansas and Louisville.
Flowers is the No. 21 overall prospect in the 247Sports rankings. He is also rated the No. 8 small forward in the class.
“I felt like it was time for me and my family to let everyone know where I want to play,” Flowers told 247Sports. “I just thought it was best and that I am ready to commit.”
Flowers took a visit to North Carolina in October and has really been focused on those programs he will decide from for quite some time.
Flowers discussed his impression of North Carolina.
“It’s a legendary program and they have had a lot of players come out of there … (they) have been on me heavy since I got to North Carolina so that’s a great place.”
At this point, it was noted that Flowers still has not made an official decision on where he will go, so with just days away until his announcement, this would could go down to the wire.
