2024 DL Justin Scott lists Alabama as a finalist in his recruitment

Alabama’s coaching staff has made it clear that they want to land 2024 defensive lineman Justin Scott. The Illinois native listed the Tide as one of his top eight schools on Sunday evening.

Scott was offered by the Tide back in October. He has a monstrous frame at 6-foot-5, 310 pounds. That is arguably the ideal stature to compete early at the next level. Considering that he is currently a junior, he still has time to grow and develop.

Interestingly enough, 247Sports’ Alan Trieu compared Scott to former Alabama defensive lineman Christian Barmore. That is quite the compliment considering Barmore was a second-round pick in the 2021 NFL Draft. If he is reminiscent of Barmore, they could explain why Alabama is so high on him.

As of right now, the presumed leader to land Scott is Notre Dame at 66.8% likelihood, according to On3’s RPM.
