2024 5-star WR Ryan Wingo has announced his upcoming commitment date

Texas A&M’s 2024 recruiting class, currently ranked 5th in the country according to 247Sports, endured its first round of adversity after four-star wide receiver Drelon Miller de-committed earlier this week just days after visiting LSU.

While the fan morale has reached a low point due to the Aggies’ struggles at the midway point of the 2023 season, sitting at 4-3 and 2-2 in the SEC, some attribute Miller’s de-commitment to the play on the field, but as those of us in the industry know, this is likely the case of a young man making the best personal decision for his playing future.

Leaving an open spot in the cycle, 2024 five-star WR and Saint Louis, Missouri native Ryan Wingo’s impending commitment has left us all on our collective toes for what seems like an entire year as the highly talented, versatile wideout announced that he will make his collegiate decision on Wednesday, Oct. 25, choosing between Georgia, Texas, Missouri, Tennessee, Miami, and yes, Texas A&M.

Overwhelming favored to landing with the Missouri Tigers and head coach Eli Drinkowitz, Wingo’s unofficial visit to College Station during Texas A&M’s annual recruiting pool party must have influenced the future star enough to include the Aggies in his final list, and as we’ve seen throughout the summer, never count A&M out of the final decision-making process.

However, Tigers sophomore wide receiver Luther Burden III, currently leading the SEC in receiving, is a slam dunk recruiting pitch for Drinkowitz and his staff, as the former five-star is having a career year in the Missouri offense.
