2023 World Cup soccer schedule today: Next games, start times, TV channel, how to watch

The group stage of the 2023 World Cup continues Thursday night and early Friday as teams compete in their second games of the tournament.

Thursday's action wraps up with Argentina taking on South Africa after earlier games saw Nigeria beat host Australia, 3-2, and Portugal deal Vietnam its second loss, 2-0.

Friday's schedule features just two games: England takes on Denmark while China faces off against Haiti.

England started its World Cup campaign Saturday by beating Haiti, 1-0. Midfielder Georgia Stanway scored the game's only goal on a penalty kick in the 29th minute.

Denmark also opened the tournament with a win, beating China 1-0 on Saturday. Amalie Vangsgaard scored in the 89th minute to seal the victory for the Danish.

England and Denmark are tied for the Group D lead with 3 points each, while China and Haiti have zero points each.

Argentina vs. South Africa: Start time, where to watch

The Argentina vs. South Africa match is scheduled to begin at 8 p.m. ET at Dunedin Stadium in Dunedin, New Zealand.

The game will air on Fox Sports 1, with a Spanish-language broadcast on Universo.
