2023 USFL Season: What are the hub cities for this year’s games?

The USFL is back for its second season, with the 2023 action getting underway on opening weekend April 14-15. The kickoff weekend will feature four enticing matchups, all beginning with the Philadelphia Stars taking on the USFL’s newest team, the Memphis Showboats, on April 15 at 4:30 p.m and continuing with the Michigan Panthers facing the Houston Gamblers Saturday at 12pm ET on NBC and Peacock.

Last season, each of the eight USFL teams met in Birmingham, Alabama, to engage in regular season competition. The format has been changed for 2023, however, with four cities – Detroit, Canton, Memphis and Birmingham – now serving as hub cities for the duration of the regular season.

The stadium is the home of the Memphis Tigers college football team and has been the home of college football’s storied Liberty Bowl since the 1965 season.

The first game of the 2023 USFL season will take place in Memphis, when the Stars visit the Showboats on April 15 at 4:30 p.m. EST.
