2023 Players Championship: How to watch, tee times, past winners, history
The Players Championship is back in full swing this weekend. PGA Tour golfers will take aim at the beautiful TPC Sawgrass course in Ponte Vedra Beach, Florida.
There are several big names in the field. FedEx Cup leader Jon Rahm looks to earn his fourth PGA Tour victory this season. Rahm has already picked up big wins at The American Express, The Genesis Invitational and Sentry Tournament of Champions.
The field also includes former Players Championship winners: Adam Scott (2004), Matt Kuchar (2012), Rickie Fowler (2015), Jason Day (2016), Si Woo Kim (2017), Webb Simpson (2018), Rory McIlroy (2019) and Justin Thomas (2021).
However, there are some notable absences. Tiger Woods, who has won the event twice, will not be in the field this week. LIV golfers also will not play. This includes defending champion Cameron Smith who finished 13-under to win last year.
Here is everything you need to know for the Players Championship this week.
