2022 four-star decommits from Michigan football

It was big news for Michigan football when it had started to reel in prospects over the summer. In a one-month stretch between June 19 and July 12, the Wolverines managed to get nine commits, with perhaps the most lauded being Tampa (Fla.) Gaither four-star EDGE Mario Eugenio.

Eugenio made his pledge to the Wolverines on July 5, and immediately started to recruit for his new team quite vocally. Rated the No. 268 prospect nationally by the 247Sports Composite, his commitment appeared to spurn another, with his Gaither teammate, three-star linebacker Micah Pollard, being the last of the nine to commit to Michigan.

However, on Thursday morning, Eugenio tweeted that his backing off of his pledge and opening up his recruitment.

Eugenio has 32 reported offers, including from the likes of Miami (FL), Oregon, Cincinnati, Arizona State, Iowa State and Arkansas.
