2021 Big Ten hockey tournament: When Michigan, Michigan State play at Notre Dame

The Big Ten announced the pairings for its 2021 hockey tournament, to be hosted March 14-16 at Notre Dame.

The winner will get an automatic big into the NCAA tournament. The road to the Frozen Four will be laid out March 21.

Michigan State is the seventh seed in the tournament. The Spartans play No. 2 seed Minnesota at 4 p.m. March 14.

Michigan is the No. 3 seed in the single-elimination tournament and will play No. 6 seed Ohio State at 8:30 p.m. that night.

The first game that day is No. 4 seed Notre Dame against No. 5 seed Penn State. Wisconsin, the top seed, will play the winner at 4:30 p.m. March 15.

If U-M (14-9-1, 11-9-0 Big Ten) and MSU (7-17-2, 5-16-1) both win, they'll face off in the second game on March 15.

The championship game is at 8 p.m. March 16.
